THANK YOU Beth & Dana! WELCOME Sean & Stephanie!

Westside Community Schools expresses our deepest gratitude to Dana Blakely and Beth Morrissette who will be concluding their service on the Westside Board of Education at the end of May. Both elected in 2014, they have been dedicated to serving Westside staff, students and families for 12 years.

During their tenure, Dana and Beth have helped oversee significant milestones, including the implementation of the District’s Facilities Master Plan, and the successful passage of two bond elections and two levy override elections. They have participated in ribbon-cutting ceremonies at six of our elementary buildings, distributed thousands of high school diplomas and have helped celebrate hundreds of retirees at our End-of-Year Staff Celebrations. And the students who entered kindergarten in the fall of 2014 are wrapping up their junior year of high school! They have consistently prioritized fiscal responsibility and ensuring every student has access to the resources they need for success in the classroom. We are indebted to their long-standing commitment, their thoughtful leadership, and the positive impact they have made on our district.

At the regular Board of Education Meeting in June, we will welcome our two new board members, Stephanie Adams and Sean Conway. We look forward with optimism and excitement as we continue the important work of supporting student success, advancing the district’s mission and vision, and building on Westside’s strong tradition of excellence.
