MARKET DAY was a HUGE SUCCESS! The 3rd graders spent several weeks learning about the economy, supply & demand, as well as goods & services. On Friday, May 11th the 3rd graders put what they learned into action as they provided all sorts of good and services for the rest of the student body to purchase. When market day ended the 3rd graders earned a record amount of money. This money will be used in many different ways next year to help our school. If you would like to see pictures Click here.

On Friday, May 11th the 5th and 6th grade band students held their end of the year concerts. The band students performed songs of their choice in groups of three or four and then came together at the end for a grand finale. Click here to see pictures from the concert.

Last week Westbrook's Kindergaten classes went to Gifford Farm for a field trip. The students had a great time learning about the farm and participating in many fun activites. Check out all the fun they had by clicking here.

On Tuesday. May 8th our Kindergarten and 1st graders put on two great performances. The Kindergartners performed Frog and Toad and the 1st graders performed a Dr. Seuss musical. Click here to see pictures of the performances

One of our Jr. Girl Scout Troops (Troop #42266) recently finished a community service project to earn their Bronze Award, which is needed in becoming a cadet. The results of their project was the BEAUTIFUL mural that you see painted on the wall outside. The girls in troop 42266 came up with the idea on their own and then spent several weeks painting the mural after school.

On May 1st the 5th graders to a trip to the Water Works Youth Festival. On the field trip students participated in a variety of activities involving water. Students were able to tour the Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium as well as shoot off water rockets. For more pictures click here.

Westbrook 4th, 5th, and 6th graders put on an amazing Earth Day performance. The students from all three grade levels met twice a week in the mornings to practice. All of their hardwork paid off in the end with a GREAT performance on May 1st. For more pictures click here.
